Recent Buys; May & June Review; Just HODL it edition

Fun fact. I just spent the last 4 weeks troubleshooting a certain multi-billion dollar federal database built by a certain large search engine company because some genius had a brilliant idea to merge an old IBM database built in dos into html5. Another fun fact. The system is still inoperable and HQ is now deciding whether we scrap the entire project or give that certain company another 2 billion to fix it. And that’s why we have to raise your taxes next year. I don’t think you’ll mind. Enough of me raging, here are my May and June results.

Summary and Updates.
  1. Dividends increased $235.28 ($7254.35 - $7019.07)
  2. Goal Updated: Instead of $8,000 forward dividend I’m going to aim for $9,000 forward dividend by December 31, 2018. I probably won’t make it but I rather have a goal that I can’t meet than an easy one to pad my ego.
  3. My net wealth increased by $22,648.59 ($345,254.29- $322605.70).
  4. I made less in June (hours cut back) and spent more (booze). I hate troubleshooting.
  5. Instead of investing $1000 or $500 into one individual stock I’m going to start buying smaller amounts. I added Abbvie (ABBV), Leggett and Platt (LEG), Corning (GLW), and Visa (V) this month via small trades. I will continue building these into full positions.

I’m reading your comments even if I’m not responding. Since the beginning of this month I’ve been too drunk to respond properly (that’s not a joke my job is starting to make me drink). Life is hard and it seems to get harder everyday I’m alive. Portfolio updated. Forward dividend at $7254.35. This was a rough post. I had to write this quickly and get back to work. Life of a salaryman.
